Results Are in for DNA Found on Glove near Nancy Guthrie’s Home
As investigators await DNA results that could identify the masked suspect seen outside Nancy Guthrie’s home, the case remains a race against uncertainty. Authorities continue to pursue every lead, process every piece of evidence, and reassure a shaken community that they will not stop until answers are found.
No Match in National Database
DNA collected inside Nancy’s residence also failed to generate a hit in the system, Nanos said in an interview with Fox News. He added that the genetic material found on the glove was different from the DNA recovered inside the home.
“We’re hopeful that we’re always getting closer,” Nanos said. He noted that officials had learned the glove DNA had been processed through CODIS and that it produced no results. In a post on X, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office clarified that only the DNA from the gloves had been submitted to CODIS so far.
That sample did not match any profiles in the database and did not match the DNA collected at the property. Authorities said the DNA recovered at Nancy’s home is still undergoing analysis. Further testing is planned as the investigation continues.
Online Frustration Boils Over
As the update spread, netizens voiced their anguish and disbelief over the lack of progress. “HOW 🤔 the biggest cases it’s easy for them to find the answers to them. something like this they really can’t find anything.”Another person wrote, “The poor family, my heart breaks for them.” Someone else added, “This is ridiculous.”
For now, with no matches in the national database and more testing ahead, the investigation remains ongoing.
