“They got caught”: Funeral of Trystan, victim of the Crans-Montana disaster, postponed; his body was “ripped away” from his parents a few hours before

The real tragedy for Trystan Pidoux’s parents   was his funeral, which was interrupted,   despite his mother doing everything possible to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible. Upon learning of her son’s death on January 3, 2026, Vinciane Stucky arranged for his body to be repatriated and a complaint filed against Jacques and Jessica Moretti, managers of the bar Le Constellation. Through her lawyer, the mother arranged for an autopsy to be performed on the child’s body to get to the bottom of the matter. Since the autopsy had still not been performed, several reminders were sent to the prosecutor’s office to ensure Trystan’s funeral, scheduled for January 14, was not interrupted. Unfortunately, the authorities reacted too late:   the autopsy was performed   by the Valais authorities just hours before the funeral. Consequently, the funeral was postponed until Friday, January 16, further deepening the grief of Trystan’s family.

 

 

Vinciane Stucky, Trystan’s mother:   “I don’t know if I’ll survive his funeral.”

Deeply affected by her son’s death, Vinciane hasn’t hidden the dark moments she’s been experiencing since his death.   “I don’t know if I’ll survive his funeral  ,” she confided to Blick on Monday. The disruption of the funeral service only deepened her mother’s grief. She recounted:   “Trystan’s coffin was open. I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible.
