THE CALL THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

THE CALL THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Just 2 hrs after I dropped my 3 yr old son in my sister’s house for holidays, I got a call that his 2 kidneys have been sold.
Miriam and her 3-year-old son Samuel were in the sitting room watching TV when she received a message from her sister, Nneoma.
“I’m coming to take Samuel for holiday.”
Miriam was shocked. Why would her sister Nneoma want her son all of a sudden? This was the first time. Nneoma had never asked to take Samuel before. Not even once.
A few hours later, Nneoma arrived. She put on a fake smile as Miriam opened the door and welcomed her inside, not knowing the evil plan in her heart.
“Nneoma, you know his dad won’t accept this. He doesn’t like Samuel staying away from home,” Miriam said.
Nneoma frowned immediately. “Sister, am I a stranger to you? My son Junior needs someone to play with. It’s just for two weeks. Once school opens, you can come and take him.”
She bent down and started playing with little Samuel, smiling and laughing with him. Then she added, “And by the way, your husband doesn’t need to know. Before he comes back from his business trip, Samuel will be back.”
Miriam looked at her sister for a few seconds, thinking. Samuel was already excited.
“Mummy, please let me go! I want to play with Junior!” the little boy said, jumping happily.
Miriam slowly smiled. She didn’t notice the strange way Nneoma was looking at Samuel.
She packed Samuel’s clothes, kissed him, and handed him over to Nneoma.
As soon as they boarded a bus, Nneoma brought out her phone and called her husband.
“Honey, I fooled my sister. Samuel is coming with me. We will be going to the hospital directly.”
“Alright, I’m bringing Junior too,” her husband replied.
Meanwhile, back at home, Miriam suddenly started feeling restless. Her heart was beating fast for no reason, like something was wrong.
She decided to go to church to pray.
At the hospital, Nneoma took Samuel to a doctor.
“Doctor, this is the boy. One of my sister’s children. He’s the one I told you about. I tested his blood. His kidney is a match for my son.”
The doctor sighed and removed his glasses. “This is risky. This boy might d!e. We need the parents’ consent since he’s a minor.”
But Nneoma’s husband quickly brought out a bag and dropped it on the table. Money filled the table.
“Doctor, just do it. I will pay you any amount you want. Our son’s life matters most. My wife’s sister has two other children.”
The doctor looked at little Samuel, who was sitting there innocently, swinging his legs and smiling.
“Doctor, what are you waiting for? Just start already. Take his two kidneys. After that, I will find something to tell his mother.”
The doctor looked at the money again, then slowly nodded.
“Alright,” he said quietly.
He turned to the nurse. “Take this boy to the surgery room.”
The nurse carried Samuel, and soon he was sedated. The little boy fell into a deep sleep.
Meanwhile, Miriam was still in church, on her knees, praying and begging God to take away the strange fear in her heart.
Back at the hospital, the doctor entered the surgery room and put on his gloves.
Outside, Nneoma and her husband smiled.
“Finally, our only child Junior will be okay,” Nneoma said coldly. “Samuel can die. My sister has other children.”
Inside the surgery room, the doctor picked up the surgical knife and moved closer to Samuel.
DO YOU THINK THEY WILL SUCCEED WITH THEIR PLAN?
